Overview
PhotoMemory is a private photo library: upload, organise by who, where and when, share on your terms, and keep the originals encrypted at rest.
What it does
- Library — upload JPEG, PNG, HEIC, RAW and video files up to 50 MB each; thumbnails and an optimised copy are generated for you.
- Metadata — EXIF (camera, lens, exposure, GPS) is read with a three-engine cascade and GPS is reverse-geocoded to city, state and country.
- People — faces are detected and grouped by our own ML service (InsightFace); you name and merge people.
- Albums, sharing, family — albums, share links with password, expiry and view limits, and family groups with roles.
- Map, timeline, search — find photos by place, date, camera, person, tag or text.
- Desktop sync — the
photomemoryCLI and tray app sync a folder in thick or thin mode.
How it fits Thundera
PhotoMemory has no separate login. You sign in once at auth.thundera.eu (single sign-on shared by every Thundera app); account, organisation, plan and billing live at auth.thundera.eu/settings. The first time you open the app it creates your library from your SSO identity.
Privacy model
Original files are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored; the key is held by the service, not by you. Thumbnails are not encrypted. Photos are never used to train models and are not shared with third parties. See Security and privacy.
